Situation. —There is a depression east of New Zealand, and an anticyclone extends from (he Tasman Sea on to the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. Wednesday: Moderate southerly winds; weather cloudy and cool with scattered showers, but improving- slowly. Further Outlook. —Some isolated showers, but weather mainly fair.
