RESTRICTIONS ON BRITISH MINERS MAY BE ENDED
(11 a.m.) LONDON. Nov. 2. Threatened with a new man-power crisis in the mining industry, the Government is considering the removal of the restriction which ties a man to pits from the time he has completed his initial three months’ training until he is 50. Mining experts have suggested that this restriction deters young men wno might otherwise become coal miners. The situation is being examined by the Ministry of Fuel and Power.
