DUTCH WORKERS FOR FARMS IN GISBORNE AREA

The Gisborne-East Coast district has been allotted four of the Dutch farm workers coming to New Zealand this month from Batavia. They will be employed on sheep and cattle stations, probably one each in the Hicks Bay, Tolaga Bay, Waimata and Wharekopae districts. The newcomers are unmarried.

There were 16 applications for the Dutch farm workers from the district extending from Gisborne to the East Cape. Two groups of 50 each will be flown from Batavia to Auckland and will be dispatched to their destinations soon after arrival in the Dominion.
