GISBORNE VITAL STATISTICS INCREASE
Substantial increases in the number of births and deaths and a slight increase in the number of marriages were recorded in Gisborne last month. The vital statistics, with the figures for the corresponding month of last yea; shown in parentheses, are:— Births. 60 (46); deaths, 27 <s>; mar? riages, 22 and two by the registrar (19 and three by the registrar). , The totals for the 10 months of the year are: Births, 543 (542); deaths, 20; (179); marriages, 204 and 35 by the registrar (209 and 35 by the registrar),
