HUNTLY MINES IDLE FOR UNION MEETING

(P.A.) AUCKLAND. Nov. 2. All the main Huntlv coal mines were idle yesterday and the production of about 3500 tons of coal was Inst when a mass meeting of members of the Northern Miners' Union was held in the Huntlv Town Hall. The meeting lasted from 9 a.m. to about 1 p.m. No statement was issued on behalf of the union as to questions discussed, or future implications. However, the main topic at issue is understood to have been the rate of pay for miners trucking their own coal.
