N.Z. VISITORS FOR CUP MISS TRAINS: SHIP DELAYED

SYDNEY, Nov. 1. The late arrival of the motor-ship Wanganella from New Zealand, due to engine breakdowns on Saturday afternoon, caused about 25 passengers to miss planes and trains which were booked to take them to Melbourne to see the Cup this afternoon. Othc-r passengers caught their planes and trains with only minutes to spare.

The Wanganella berthed last night 11 hours late. Some passengers hurried off the ship with their luggage as soon as the gangplank was down and explained their predicament to Customs officers who cleared them in record time. They were among the lucky ones who connected with Melbourne transport. Efforts are being made to assist others to see the Cup.
