N.Z. SECRETARIAL POST FOR GISBORNE MAN
Mr. F. Rickard, secretary of the Gisbore branch of the Biblical Research Society, has been appointed to the honorary position of Dominion organising secretary. The society, which is international and undenominational, was inaugurated in the Dominion last year. Mr Rickard will conduct a deputising mission throughout New Zealand in the near future.
The aim of the society, it is stated, is to break down anti-Semitism and to disseminate facts and truth concerning God and the Messiah. To accomplish this purpose it employs a seven-point programme which utilises the following means; Literature, books, booklets and tracts, personal work, radio branches, training institutes, conferences and magazines. The society has distributed throughout the world millions of books in abridged and unabridged editions and countless tracts. Certain of the books have been translated into Hebrew, Yiddish. Arabic, German, Spanish, JudeoSpanish. Greek and one of the Indian languages.
