Party Leaders Confer On Defence

(10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 21. The Times Parliamentary correspondent reports that Mr. Attlee and other Ministers had a further discussion yesterday with Mr. Churchill. Mr. Eden and other Opposition front-benchers on the subiect of defence.

This was the third and probably the last of a series of talks which were begun some months ago at Mr. Attlee's invitation.

The purpose of the talks—which followed strong criticisms of the defence arrangements by Mr. Churchill,—was to enable the Opposition to be more fullv informed on defence matters which, for security reasons, are not now being publicly disclosed.
