“DON’T TRY TO GO TOO FAR! DON’T GO TOO FAST”
(P.A.) 'Wellington. Oct. 21. “Don’t try to go too far and don’t go too fast.’’ This advice was given to motorists yesterday by the (Minister of Transport. Mr. F. I Tackett, commenting on traffic over Labour Day week-end.
“Many drivers attempt to travel too far in the short break available over three days,” said Mr. Hackctt. “This leads to excessive speed, driving while fatigued and a host of other difficulties. I would say make your journey of reasonable distance.
“Still (he greatest causes of traffic accidents in New Zealand are failing to keep to the left and speed <oo fast for the conditions,” said the Minister. "1 would ask all drivers to bear this fact In mind.
