“LITTLE ASSEMBLY” FOR EUROPE
PARIS, Sept. 5,
The European Consultative Assembly tonight adopted the idea of a “Little Assembly,” with a membership of 23, plus the president and four vice-presi-dents. The membership of the “Little Assembly” will be three each for Britain. France, and Italy, two each for Belgium, Greece. Netherlands, Sweden and Turkey, and one each for Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg and Norway. The Assembly tonight adopted an amended report of the economic committee. The final report, which was debated in detail last week, calls for a European economic conference and mission to the United States to discuss the dollar shortage. The recommendations will go to the committee of Foreign Ministers.
