MEAT PRODUCERS DEMAND FULL EXPORT PRICES

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. The New Zealand meat producers, through the Meat Producers’ Board, insist they receive the full increase in the export price for their produce in the 1949-50 season.

The electoral college of the hoard, at the annual meeting yesterday, carried the following resolution: “.The meat producers of New Zealand insist that (a) they receive the full export price for hides, tallow, pelts, bobby calf skins and sundries; subsidies within New Zealand on these items should no longer be the responsibility of primary producers and (b) that the whole increase in this season’s contract price for moat be passed on to' the producers.”
