TRAINING REFERENDUM RECOUNT INCREASES MAJORITY BY 500
The recount of votes cast in the Gisborne electorate on the military trainins? referendum poll gives the affirmative an additional 486 and an increased majority of 507. The check was completed a few days ago. The final figures, which take into account declaration, absent and postal votes that were not available for inclusion in the preliminary totals, are as follow, the figures in parentheses being those of the earlier estimate:— for 3357 (7871) Against 2502 (2423) Informal .. • • 43
