BERLIN FURNITURE THIEVES ARRESTED

LONDON, Aug. 12. A police official said today that the West Berlin police had arrested Baron Rudolf Erckcrt. who is the son of the former German counsellor in Tokio, and five others on charges of housebreaking and stealing carpets and_othcr furniture up to a value of £75,000. They were alleged 1o have burgled at least 24 houses in Berlin in the past nine months.
