PRODUCE MARKET: WELLINGTON RATES
The general tone cf the produce market in Wellington on Thursday was good, according to a report received from Gisborne Markets, Limited. The outlook was still affected by the inclement weather.
Greens made good prices, cauliflower, spiing cabbage, spinach and celery being in short supply. Field produce was firm, good quality lines selling well. Rhubarb showed a sharp increase, but roots were mainly over-supplied with prices down accordingly.
Small fruits, tree tomatoes and Chinese gooseberries showed a decided fall. Citrus was quiet.
