BRITISH CHIEF IN HONG KONG
A new portrait of Lt. General F. W. Fcsting, C. 8., C.8.E., D. 5.0., who has recently been appointed commander of the British forces and general officer commanding in chief. Hong Kong. General Festing is 46 years of age and since 1947 has been director of Weapons and development at the War Office. He won the D.S.O. in Madagascar in 1941. and was given command of the 36th Division under General J. Stihvell in 1942. He received the 0.8. E, in 1945 and the
C.B. in 1946.
