Notifiable Disease
Two cases of scarlet fever, and three of pulmonary tuberculosis, were reported in the East Cape health district for the week ending at noon yesterday. There were no deaths from notifiable disease.

The vessel Tongariro, carrying 2080 food parcels, .weighing 25,5161 b., which left Wellington on April 7, arrived in the United Kingdom on May 20. This shipment comprised parcels posted in the southern half of the North Island and also the Gisborne and Nelson districts. during the period March 18-30. The Cumberland, carrying 8919 food parcels weighing 92.2271 b.. which left Wellington on April 30. arrived in the United Kingdom on May 30. This shipment comprised parcels posted in the southern half of llie North Island and also the Gisborne and Nelson districts, during the period April 13-10.
