Windfall For Auckland Resident

Half of the residue of an estate of £22.426 will be received by an Aucklander. Mrs. Arta Ridgway, Takapuna. The estate is that of her aunt, Mrs. Ida Caroline Kenyon, of Golders Green, London, widow of the famous Scottish comedian Neil Kenyon.

Two Men Fined. Two mon who were caught by the police casting offensive matter in the street in Gisborne were each convicted and fined £3, with costs, by Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court in Gisborne yesterday. Charlie Kingi, Mcltavvai (Mr. K. Gillanders Scott), a Maori, pleaded guilty. Arnold James Callaghan, Crawford road, did • not appear. Senior-Sergeant G. S. Norris prosecuted.
