REJOICING IN TRIPOLI: NO ITALIAN RULE
LONDON, May 18,
One of the largest crowds Tripoli has seen collected today to celebrate the defeat of the proposal to give Italy trusteeship of Tripolitariia, says the Associated Press correspondent in TriDoli.
They paraded between the headouarters of the United National Front Party and the British administration.
In Cairo today an Egyptian Foreign Office official commenting on the rejection by the United Nations of the BevinSforza proposals said: “This is magnificent news It will have a most heartening effect on Arab opinion throughout the Middle East.
