Renovation Of Huts At Transit Camp Delayed At Present
“The renovation of all huts included in the contract has been completed, with the exception of some electrical work; this being held up on account of labour shortage." reported the town clerk, Mr. W. M. Jenkins, at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council. He was referring to the Park Domain transit camp which was damaged in the floods of May last.
Sixteen huts are in occupation, and it is expected that the work on the remaining huts will be finished in the near future, when more occupants will move in-
