FRIGATE PUKAKI BACK FROM AUSTRALIA

AUCKLAND, May 16.

After carrying an advance party of two officers and 27 ratings to Australia to , recommission the survey ship H.M.A.S. Lachlan, the frigate Pukaki returned to Auckland today. Commanded by Lieut.-Commander L E. Herrick, D.S.C., R.N., the ship had previously visited the Campbell Island to re-equip the Government meteorological station.
