The Amberley Racing Club held its annual meeting at Amberley on Saturday in fine weather and before a good attendance. The track was slightly holding throughout the day. Waihora almost brought off a surprise win in the Novice Stakes when she finished second. Her place dividend was past the quarter-century mark. The totalisator handled £29,194 10s, compared with £32,193 last year.
