POLICE FIRE ON RED RALLY IN BOMBAY
(10 a.m.) BOMBAY, May 9.
Three people were sent to hospital after the police fired on a Communist demonstration today. The demonstrators were demanding better treatment for Communists who are on a hunger strike in Bombay prisons. Eleven policemen were injured by stones and sticks and 44 demonstrators were arrested.
