THE LOVE STORY OF ANTONIO

LONDON, Feb. 20. Fifty years ago Antonio Vajente, 23, of Rome, fell in love with a Frenchwoman, but she refused him and married another man. Last month Antonio met the same woman again. She was free to remarry, but refused him for the second time. Broken-hearted, Antonio, now 73, threw himself in front of a train at Vicenza, but the engine-driver stopped in time and saved his life. This week. Antonio went into a field and stabbed himself to death.
