FAST TRIP FROM FIJI BY DOUGLAS AIRLINER

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 9. With the Prime Minister, Mr. P. Fraser, and 10 other passengers on board the Douglas DC6 airliner. Endeavour, of the British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines made a particularly fast passage from Nandi. Fiji to Whenuapai yesterday. The flight took 4 hours 25 minutes as compared with the normal schedule flying time of 5 hours 20 minutes.

Making the usual weekly trip from Vancouver, Endeavour took off from Nandi airport at 11.48 a.m. Permission was granted to the pilot. Captain J. MacDonald, to make the flight at faster speed than normal because of deteriorating weather conditions at Whenuapai.
