POSSIBLE CLASH OF BIG SHOW DATES IN SYDNEY & CH.CHURCH

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 7The New South Wales Cabinet is expected to discuss holding an international trade exhibition in Sydney in 1956 following the Olympic Games, according to advice received in .Wellington. The New Zealand Governemnt has applied to the international committee for exhibitions, London, to have the Christchurch Exhibition of 1953-54 recognised as an international display and the New South Wales promoters of 1056 trade exhibition, Sydney, apparently feel that this may conflict with their proposed application for international status. A communication received in Wellington suggests that if this is the case New Zealand might possibly consider a combined exhibition in Sydney in 1956. Unofficial opinion in Wellington is that there is little likelihood of New Zealand submerging its identity and foregoing its first international exhibition since the centennial one in Wellington.
