THERE will be a mixed programme for the Otautau Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow—jumping, galloping and trotting events.
The principal race will be the Otautau Cup, in which some good performers are engaged, including SPARE PART,, winner of the Wellington Cup in 1948, ERISKAY, winner of the Dunedin Centennial Cup last season, SIR GARNISH, who led the field home in the last Mew Zealand Cup, FULL PLAY, who on the same day won the C.J.C. Stewards' Handicap, and ST. BRUNO, winner of the New Zealand 'Derby Stakes in the spring. There is certainly class represented in this £2OO 10-furlong event.
THE GRATE - FRANCES bracket heads the list of the mile Macaulay Memorial Handicap, and there are other good performers in this race, including a past winner of the C.J.CStewards’ Handicap so that, despite the comparatively small prize-money offering, the class as a whole is good.
