The local rule of lifting off bare ground at the “Drop” has been rescinded. In future the ball will be played from where it lies. A further competition will be played over the week-ends —a mixed fourball challenge match on handicap. This competition is for the Smith Ribbons and the present holders are the donors Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Smith. Challenges may be made at any time, but must be played within one week of the date of challenge. The Raupunga Golf Club is holding its official opening on Sunday.
