INTER-TROOP SCOUT COMPETITION
The Manutuke and Warneford scout troops held an inter-troop competition night recently, Manutuke being the visitors.
A large attendance and a friendly spirit made the evening a great success.
Manutuke is a newly-formed troop which has not yet been active for two months.
The county commissioner, Mr. A. Blackburn, the district commissioner, Mr. C. Chamberlain, and the Warneford group scoutmaster, Mr. G. Foote, performed investiture ceremonies, investing, as Scouts of the Manutuke troop. Troop Leader Sid Smith, and Patrol Leaders Lewis Moeau and Toko Riki.
The competitions took the form of knotting relays, ambulance activities, staff drill, ancl a quiz on law and flag. The result of the competition was: Manutuke. 36 points: Warneford, 30 points. The evening concluded with supper and games.
