A “MOCK-UP" of the newly designed double-decker coach for British railways was shown recently in London. A double-decked electric train would have eight coaches with a total seating capacity of 1016 seats—an increase of 31 per cent on the seating capacity of an ordinary train. The actual construction of the new train is still secret.
