SPACE SHIP NEARLY COMPLETED IN U.S.

NEW YORK. One of America's leading rocket experts, Mr. Eugene Majmor, has almost completed a man-carrying rocketpropelled space-ship. Mr. Maynor, whose work has been aided by the U.S. Air Force and Navy, claims that, for the first time, it will enable man to travel outside the earth’s atmosphere. The missile is built of stainless steel, is about 30ft. long and 3ft. in diameter, weighs 15001 b. Mr. Maynor says he hopes to launch the rocket himself next 'June. He expects to reach a speed of 1400 m.p.h. in upward flight and attain an altitude of 36 miles.

After 60001 b of fuel —nitric acid and power alcohol —is exhausted, he will glide the ship to earth. Mr. Maynor worked on naval rocket experiments during the war.
