BIG AIRLINERS AT WHENUAPAI

(P.A.) AUCKLAND. April 4. Two DC6 airliners arrived at Whenuapai within an hour of each other this morning—one from America and the second from Sydney. It was the first time there had been two of these aircraft at the airfield at the same time. The first to land was B.C.P.A. Resolution which was due from Fiji yesterday on the last leg of a flight from Vancouver. Delayed by mechanical trouble, it landed at 6.20 a.m. It will leave for America tomorrow. The other DC6 B.C.P.A. Endeavour, on charter to Tasman Empire Airways arrived at 7.15 a.m. from Sydney and left on the return flight at 9 a.m.
