Wainui Polio Case Proves Positive

A 44-year-old woman who was admitted to the Cook Hospital on Friday as a suspected poliomyelitis victim has proved to be a positive case. The woman is from Waipawa and with her husband has been on a holiday in the northern part of the North Island. Thev had been staying at Wainui Beach for a short time before she was taken ill. , Her husSand has returned to Waipawa and is under observation by the Health Department as a possible poliomyelitis suspect.
