BOWLING CENTRE CHAMPION FOURS: SATURDAY’S PLAY

Champion fours from the clubs affiliated from the Gisborne-East Coast Bowling Centre met on the Kahutia greens on Saturday to determine the champion of champions rink for the 1948-49 season.

After six rounds of play in the senior section both Gisborne and Wairoa possess one life and these two rinks will meet possibly next Saturday to determine which is the centre champion. The junior section was played out to its conclusion, the Kahutia rink, skipped by G. Ardern, being the winners, with two lives. Mr. O. R. Olsen umpired the games. SENIORS Second Round.—Tolaga Bay (E.
