Red Railway Strike In India a Fiasco

(10 a.m.) NEW DELHI, Mar. 9. Railway officials reported that the Communist-instigated strike in the Indian railways called for today was a total failure. Trains were running normally from Bombay New Delhi, Madras and Calcutta. Security measures against possible sabotage are being maintained. _ . There were a few incidents in Calcutta when explosives were hurled into a police station compound, causing injuries to a policeman. One person was injured in a warehouse explosion. Three persons were arrested.
