WAGE RATES OF FREEZING WORKERS

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 4. The amended wage rates for freezing workers, provision for which is made in the new award for the freezing industry, will come into force as from November 9, 1948, and not from October 9, 1948, as published in a Press Association message yesterday. Advice to this effect has been received from the secretary of the Canterbury Freezing Workers and Related Trades Union. Mr. 11. G. Kilpatrick, and the secretary of the South Island Freezing Companies’ Association, Mr. C. C. Wilkin.
