(p A J DUNEDIN, Mar. 4. ‘‘if the necessary funds —probably about £6ooo—can be raised, the St. Kilda Municipal Band will go, to Ballarat where the national Australian eisteddfod is held each year, usually in September or October. Details of the contest are now being awaited. When the band returned t Dunedin after winning the A grade championship at the national contest at Auckland, it was suggested that it should be sent to Edinburgh for the musical festival there. The proposal was discussed by the band but uiany members were unable to make trip. The idea was dropped. Tire cost was estimated at £20,000.
