CLINTON’S SUCCESS IN CYCLING EVENTS

(P.A.) WANGANUI, Feb. 21. Disposing of a strong challenge from A. H. Allen (Feilding) in the final lap of the ten miles human-paced event at the West Coast (North Island) cycling championships held here on Saturday night, F. Clinton (Wanganui) retained his title. Clinton also won the 500 metres sprint but lost the 1000 metres trial to his club mate, G. Wakeley, by a margin of 2sec. A Cooksle.v (Palmerston North) won the 4000 metres, beating Rogers (Feilding) in the final.
