MAKONUI TENNIS CLUB EXTENDED BY AWANUI
(Herald CoVrespondent.) In a series of close contests during the week-end, the Mokonui tennis club representatives defeated Awanui by 25 sets to 13. While the sets showed a considerable margin, nine were won by the odd game only and the totals of games, 271-239, showed a. difference of only 32. The visitors enjoyed morning and afternoon tea and lunch with their hosts at Te Horo, Wai-o-matata-tini. Details follow, Awanui names being listed first. ..Women’s Singles.— Miss P.
