N.Z. CRICKETER TO LEAVE FOR ENGLAND

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 12. Don Taylor, Middlemore and Auckland Plunket Shield cricketer, will leave Auckland tomorrow for England in response to a cabled offer of a trial by Surrey.

Taylor was widely regarded as unfortunate not to gain incision in the New Zealand team to tour England this year. In the Auckland-Canterbury shield match here last month Taylor and Sutciffe created what is believed to be a world record by making a double century opening partnership in both the Auckland innings.
