SCIENTISTS INSPECT FLORA ON MT. RUAPEHU

(P.A.). NEW PYMOULTH, Feb. 11. After being treated to an unexpected and spectacular display by Mount Ngauruhoe on arrival at the Chateau Tongariro late on Wednesday afternoon a large party of overseas botanists, delegates to the Pacific Science Congress, yesterday inspected forest and alpine flora on Mount Ruapehu. Another party of deleagtes to the congress is expected at the Chateau this afternoon. These delegates include a number of geologists. A third party, including some of the world’s leading volcanologists, is due to arrive on Saturday afternoon.
