Austrian Treaty Talks: Little Progress Made

LONDON, Feb. 9. A conference of the special deputies of the Big Four Foreign Ministers on tiie Austrian Peace Treaty opened today in London. The heads of the four delegations arc Mr. Zarpbin, Soviet Ambassador in London; Mr. Reber, for the United States, Mr. M. Berthelot, for France; and Mr. J. Marjoribunks, for Britain. Mr. Zarubin proposed that the conference should hear the Yugoslav representatives supporting Yugoslavia’s claim to the Austrian provinces of Slovene and Carinthia. The British and French deputies said they doubted if it was useful to listen to a further statement of the Yugoslav case. The question was not. settled when the conference adjourned.
