There was a meeting on this course last month and with the majority of those horses again figuring in the acceptance list a study of that form may help. Torrent went wrong during the running of the Wellington Cup and will not be raced again for a while. She is a four-year-old Tiderace mare, owned by Mr. A- E. Preston, Wellington, and has been showing steady improvement. The adjourned judicial inquiry into alleegd interference by J. Williamson, rider of Concise, winner of the Ferry Handicap at the Auckland Racing Club’s mid-summer meeting at Ellerslie on January 29, was concluded yesterday. No action was taken.—P.A.
