HEAVY RAIN AT HICKS BAY

A report reached Gisborne yesterday afternoon that heavy rain was falling in the hills behind Hicks Bay, and towards the Bay of Plenty, with the Oweka River crossing flooded as a result. The Gisborne agency of the Automobile Association (Auckland) had no information to support the report, up to midday today.
