AWARDS FOR SERVICE

Reporting to Saturday’s district R-S.A. conference on the fate of a Gisborne remit to the last national conference, proposing the establishment of an N.Z.R.S.A. award for' organisational service subsidiary to the gold star and certificate of merit, the president stated that the remit had been lost in a period of frenzied efforts to complete the business of the 1948 conference.

He expressed confidence that the matter would come forward again and would appeal to national delegates “I should not be surprised to find the Dominion executive taking up our proposal and sponsoring the establishment of such an award,” he added.
