RESUMPTION OF TALKS ON AUSTRIA

LONDON. Jan. 20. The Soviet Union has agreed _ to resume discussions in London with the representatives of Britain, America and France on the Austrian Treaty, says Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent.

The Foreign Office stated that the Russian Ambassador had informed the secretary-general of the Council ol Foreign Ministers of his Government’s readiness to take part in talks to begin on or about February 7. The last conference on Austria ended in May in a disagreement, the major cause of the breakdown being the Soviet Union’s support of Yugoslavia’s territorial and reparation? claims against Austria. Since then Yugoslavia has been expelled' from the Cominform.
