Premier’s Son Mate On Freighter
(11 a.m.) BRISBANE, Jan. 21. Martin Richard Attlee, the son of Britain’s Prime Minister, is fourth mate on the British freighter Rhexcnor now at Townsville. In a five-minute interview before disappearing down a hatch to continue his duties, he said he had no political aspirations. He entered the Merchant Marine as his chosen profession but did not think lie could stay at sea too long. He has been in the Merchant Marine three and a half years, but this is his first visit to Australia.
