_ RANGOON, Jan. 19. A communique states that Karen attacks upon Pantanaw, 50 miles west of Rangoon, caused the Burmese to evacuate the town. The communique adds that Karens burned down Burmese villages south of Moulmein and several hundreds are homeless.
