TELEGRAPH HANDICAP
112 DA VINCI (5), 9.11, this last few years has performed wonderfully well at Trentham and looks like adding to this imposing record. 301 VOLTAIC (4), 9.5. has proved himself a good sprinter, although perhaps seven or eight furlongs suits him better. 222 CITRIL (20), 9.0, has been second in her last four starts —all in important races. 000 MASTER CORONACH (9), 8.11, on this season's form cannot be recommended. Last autumn ho struck great form, 000 CASTLEBRAE (24). 8.7, might find the company and the weight just a little bevond his powers. 012 MOROCCO (23), 8.7, is a very doubtful starter. 003 FALSE STEP (15), 8.5, is racing without any luck: galloped well before leaving Hastings for Trentham. 012 COT-CASE (7). 8.4. might not be up to this class, but looks as well as ever he has done. 000 THE PAGAN (16). 8.3. has only had two races this season. There were no end of inquiries for him earlier this week. 410 DEPRIVE (11). 8.2. a recent winner. should appreciate his present weight. 432 THEOCRITUS (19), 8.1. on an easy track would be a possibility. 130 FULL PI,AY (1), 8.10. at the New Zealand Cup meeting was the outstanding sprinter. He was badly
left at Southland, when he was unplaced and that race was preceded by a third to Sea Venture and Naughty Lady at Wyndham with only lib more than he now has. 310 SWIFT ROBIN (14), 7.13, won at his last start at Trentnam, but over seven furlongs, his best distance. In the interim he has had one race, when he failed at Waikato after getting into trouble. 020 THE HOB (13), 7.12, this season has run well enough to be included in a final summing-up. 11l FLYING ORDERS (6), 7.10. is a free galloper, but has yet to win in really good compan*. 210 TRAVEL KING (2). 7.10, has been handy at the provincial meetings —this is about his best recommendation. 131 TRANQUIL GOLD (8), 7.7. on last Saturday’s showing is not liked. 411 FLUORESCENT LIGHT (221. 7 5, was a winner at his last two efforts. 212 FAITHFUL PAL (12), 7.4, is not a confident recommendation. 044 KING OF QUIZZ (3). 7.2, has speed, but is not suited to a straight six. 423 DEMURE (18), 7.0. on his close third a week back is a light-weight outside possibility. 000 NFD KELLY (10). 7.0, makes up the field, but his last four nowheres arc not in his favour.
