OTAGO OPPOSITION TO STOP-WORK MEETINGS BY DRIVERS’ UNION
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Dee. 23. Some members of the Otago Drivers’ Union have signified the intention of doing their utmost to prevent the carrying into effect of the decision of tne Now Zealand Drivers’ Federation to hold stop-work meetings on January 23, su'd a former executive member of the Otago union, Mr. D. S. Lough, last night. They are of the opinion that no amicable settlement can be reached by holding such meetings and that any break-down in the award proceedings should be rectified by constitutional means.
