MAKING CHRISTMAS “HAY”
SYDNEY. (By Airmail) Australia's manpower shortage, made more apparent by the seasonal Christmas demand for it, has resulted in thousands of schoolboys and schoolgirls making from £3 a week to more than £7 a week in casual work in shops, offices and other places. Most of them will cease work at Christmas eve, when the seasonal demand for extra hands slackens—Reuter.
